Handel composed Water Music for a boat trip on the Thames, where the English king enjoyed delightful dances and other pieces.

It's baroque of the robust kind, but that's something Phion and chief conductor Alexei Ogrintchouk are eager to embrace in one of Handel's most famous orchestral works, originally intended for the outdoors.

Water Music was composed for an outing of the English king on the River Thames, during which he was entertained by Handel and his orchestra with a selection of delightful dances and other pieces. Additionally, you can enjoy music by Johann Sebastian Bach.
