Pretense is cast aside and imperial clothes are shed for the greatest guilty pleasures of all times and genres! All the music performed is specially arranged for eight string players, five wind players, and piano. Mezzo-soprano Roza Herwig joins as a special guest! Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is effortlessly mixed with music by Frans Bauer, and sweet classical arias and pop songs from the '80s and '90s transition into Bach’s Air. Saturday, November 16 at the Muziekcentrum in Enschede: Guilty Pleasures.
Who is Roza?
The versatile Dutch mezzo-soprano and theater maker Roza Herwig (1996) sings, acts, presents, plays the violin, and writes theater texts. After graduating with honors from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Singing, Roza continued her vocal studies in the Artist Masters program at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where she graduated with distinction in 2023. In addition to her classical singing lessons, Roza completed a minor in jazz singing.
Roza loves creative challenges and offers vibrant, innovative performances that combine various art disciplines. Her work includes: 'De verleiding van Vivaldi' with director Jeroen Kriek, 'DESIRE,' the children's production 'Puss in Boots,' and 'Fladderen' with the Nachtlicht Ensemble, 'Dream with Me,' and the heart-wrenching 'Crazy He Calls Me,' inspired by Poulenc’s La Voix Humaine. Roza has also developed as an actress through various acting lessons and masterclasses.
