Do you decide your next step?

You open your eyes. A brand-new day awaits. A day filled with endless possibilities. Or not. Do you decide your next step yourself?

A New Dawn is a dynamic multidisciplinary duet with constantly changing elements. Like every new day, each performance develops in its own unique way. "The wow factor of their virtuosity, the musicality, and the inescapable humanity of their bodies makes the performance perfectly suited to shifting between abstract and tangible worlds," according to Movement Exposed.

A New Dawn is a collaboration between percussionist DOMNIQ (winner of the Dutch Music Prize), breakdancer REDO (recipient of De Zwaan award), and director Peter Leung, featuring visuals by designer Noralie. Additionally, the show collaborates with multi-instrumentalist Binkbeats, a prominent figure in the world of electronic beats, and dancers Camilla Bundel and Shane.

During the lockdown, we asked ourselves: Why do we do what we do today?

Every day, we find ourselves in new situations, influenced by being alone or surrounded by others, as well as by external factors such as the weather, the news, and the energies around us. It is how we handle these situations that shapes our daily lives. Our perspective plays a major role in how we respond in these moments. Sometimes, a different perspective can lead to a different outcome—perhaps even a playful one instead of a negative one.

In A New Dawn, we explore this concept by creating an environment for musicians, dancers, visuals, and the audience. Each performance is unique, taking place in a new location with new elements and guest artists joining us.
